From

Wing Commander Ian Davison FInstIB ACIB RAFVR(T)

Officer Commanding

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the web site of Middlesex Wing, one of 36 Wings which comprise the Air Training Corps (ATC) across the United Kingdom.

Middlesex Wing’s headquarters is at Royal Air Force Uxbridge and the Wing comprises 26 units across the county, staffed by commissioned officers from Training Branch of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, ably assisted by warrant officers, senior NCOs and civilian instructors, many of whom are the parents of current or former cadets. Cadet Membership is open to all young teenagers; adult staff applications can be considered from people aged 20 upward…And it is fun for all ages. I know. I started my ATC life as a cadet in 1972!

The ATC offers many opportunities not generally available elsewhere to the youth of today, from ‘hands on’ flying and gliding, through to adventurous training including challenging overseas expeditions. In addition to parade evening activities, cadets and staff enjoy week long camps at Royal Air Force stations in this country and overseas; all at minimal cost and with a free uniform too. It is an excellent training for life, whether you are contemplating a military career or not.

Enjoy your visit to this web site and if you would like further information please do not hesitate to visit your nearest squadron on one of its parade nights. You will be made very welcome.
